Ashdown Hardware where he had a 16-year career in sales and management. In the early 70s he changed careers and sold residential real estate in the Winnipeg and East St. Paul areas. In 1982 he moved the family to Carrollton, where he continued his real estate career with Re/Max until he retired in 2005. Ed always had a smile for everyone he met. He was always a gentleman and never said a harsh word to anyone. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed many family road trips to the US to visit relatives.
