Purpose: To provide simple emergency assistance with basic food needs for the surrounding community.
RESPOND: Be Serving and Caring
The Little Free Pantry (LFP) provides immediate, emergency assistance with basic food and basic needs on a 24/7 “take what you need, leave what you can” basis as well as information on additional parish and community services. Unlike local food pantries with pickup hours and paperwork, our pantry makes it easy for people to get what they need when they need it without questions or embarrassment.
St. Gabriel's Food Shuttle Ministry partnered with the McKinney Little Free Pantry organization to set up a pantry cabinet on our campus.
After shopping for only items on the list, place the wholesome food and new personal items in the bin behind the church.
Please do NOT put donations directly in the cabinet.
Again, it is important to only get items on the list. If we receive other items, they may be shared with another McKinney Free Pantries and/or the Samaritan Inn.
The pantry is outdoors, so no fresh or frozen perishable items can be safely placed in the Donation Bin or inside the Pantry.
The need is still great and your continued generosity is a blessing.
