The Family Faith Sharing Communities (FFSC) program builds faith communities among adults and children, while providing opportunities for spiritual growith in a caring and supportuive atmosphpere. We believe the parents are the primary catechists for their children and this program was designed to cultivate that philosophy.
So what does a FFSC look like? We typically group 6-10 families with similar age children in a Family Faith Sharing Community (previously referred to as Clusters). The families meet on-site at the church or in homes. We provide all the materials and leader resources needed. Parents take turns teaching the lessons. There's time for food and fellowship along with the weekly or biweekly lesson. Does this sound interesting to you? We promise you it is a wonderful program that will create lasting friendships and memories for your family while of course providing a strong faith formation base.
The children typically love FFSC because it is a family program which involves interactive learning and an opportunity to meet other students their same faith. FFSC is a great way for both adults and students to be connected to their church community. The FFSC program is flexible to accommodate the many schedules, formational needs and diversity of our St. Gabriel families. Volunteer facilitators are trained to organize and guide these groups and are needed year-round as new communities form. Program runs September - April. Registration required.
Please call if you would like more information or if you would like us to connect you with a family that has been enrolled in the program.
