Situated in the growing suburb of McKinney, Texas, St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community has seen exponential growth in a short 25-year history (4000+ plus families). Our foundational roots built a culture of welcome, excellence, and stewardship that has nurtured the growth of many Catholic families who have harkened our door. However, as a decline of Christianity ramps in our post-modern world and the human longing to life's deeper questions go unanswered (further illuminated during the recent pandemic), we feel compelled to respond boldly to our calling to make missionary disciples.
The Coordinator of Evangelization is an Adult Ministry position that aims to make and nurture missionary disciples of Jesus in these life-stage groups: men, women, married couples, young adults 21+, and seniors 60+. This includes not only parishioners but also individuals not currently affiliated with the parish. Driven by the strategic priorities of our pastoral plan, the Evangelization Coordinator will co-create a vision and implement a comprehensive evangelization plan for the parish.
The Evangelization Coordinator is an engaging leader who can mobilize, empower, and raise up a body of missionary disciples to lead adults to an encounter with Jesus and the invitation to intentionally follow Him. The primary initial focus will be launching and leading a program called Alpha. This individual will be a key team player in co-leading the development of a parish culture that fully embraces our calling to make missionary disciples. [Read Full Description Here]
