Extraordinary Ministers of Communion to the Sick
bring the Eucharist to those who are unable to attend Mass due to illness or disability. These teams of ministers visit parishioners, who are homebound or in the hospital as well as those in assisted living communities and nursing homes. Training is provided. Safe Environment clearance is required.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion to the Sick are scheduled by their team coordinator to serve once a month. An annual gathering of Ministers of Communion to the Sick is conducted to review new procedures, to be refreshed in their dedication and to share in the fellowship of this ministry

Training is offered by team coordinators to those interested in serving in this ministry. Worship aids and materials are provided. Safe Environment clearance is required.

IN THE HOSPITAL OR HOMEBOUND?
Parish members in the hospital or homebound who wish to receive Communion can contact the Extraordinary Ministers of Communion to the Sick. To make arrangements call the Parish Center at (972) 540-7170 Ext. 411 and leave a message including a contact name and number.
