Youth 8th Grade

Who is this Eucharist & Reconciliation Preparation for:

• Baptized children who are in the 8th  grade and wish to celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation, receive First Holy Communion, and be Confirmed.

About the Process:

If the student did year one of Confirmation prep in 7th Grade:
In order to provide a foundation of community and faith, this is a one-year sacramental preparation process that includes:

• Year 1 (8th Grade): Participation in Fusion Youth Nights ALONG WITH these five Eucharist & Reconciliation gatherings:  
  1. Parent Orientation on the role and expectations for the year (September 8, 2024)
  2. Reconciliation session for students (November 2024)
  3. Day retreat with parents and students to discuss the Eucharist and what it is (March 29, 2025)
  4. Rehearsal for First Holy Communion Mass (Saturday, April 26, 2025 - 10:30 AM)
  5. Celebrate! Mass to receive your First Holy Communion
• At the same time, these students must be doing the confirmation preparation milestones and stepping stones. 

If the student is doing year one of Confirmation prep in 8th Grade:
