Purpose: To provide a Liturgy of the Word experience for children ages 4 through 2nd grade that mirrors the gospel proclaimed during Mass.
Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLW) is a liturgical experience for children 4 years through 2nd grade. Children are introduced to the tenets of our faith and the rituals of worship in the Roman Catholic Church through stories, songs, small group discussion, and group prayers.
The children are blessed and dismissed after Opening Prayer and return to the Worship Space during the Offertory. They are escorted by our CLW teachers and parent volunteers. CLW is typically offered at all weekend Masses.

Registration: Registration required. If your child is new to the program, please take a moment to fill out the registration form prior to Mass. (See Registration Link)
* Please sign in your child at the CLW table in the Narthex and include your emergency contact info.
Safe Environment: All participants must have 1 parent cleared through our Safe Environment program located on our website.
Volunteer Commitment: Because we rely on our volunteers, please sign up to assist in class on the calendar located at the check-in table or here.
Late Arrival Policy: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to Mass and sign your child in at the table in the Narthex each Sunday. To be respectful, we must close the sign-in table when Mass begins. For the safety of your child, please do not send your child to CLW if he/she is not signed in prior to Mass.
Procedures:
Note: Please take your child to the restroom before Mass.
* Once Mass begins, we cannot accept children into the program for that day. DO NOT drop your children off after dismissal for the teaching.
* Please use the Seat Holder sign for your child to let hospitality ministers know the seat is being used.**Please notify one of the coordinators or one of the teachers if your child chooses not to attend. We MUST account for every child on the sign-in list. **
Illness: Please do not bring your child to the program if s/he is not feeling well or has had fever or diarrhea in the last 24 hours.
Emergency: In the event of a building evacuation, the instructor and volunteers will escort the children out. Parents should pick up their children from the safety checkpoint. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
NOTE: This program is supplemental to our primary Whole Family Formation program and does not meet the requirements for Sacramental Prep year one preparation.

THIS IS A VOLUNTEER-BASED Co-Op PROGRAM
We look forward to having your child join us in Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLW)! Our program is a co-op program which means in order to successfully offer Children's Liturgy of the Word, we rely heavily on the support of parent volunteers. We strongly encourage parents volunteer at least once a month.
Volunteers help check in children, lead small groups in discussion questions, and help redirect children as needed.If we do not have enough Safe Environment (SE) cleared volunteers in a given week, we will have to close or limit the number of children attending.
