Ronda C. DiTirro

Ronda was born January 23, 1952 in Valentine, Nebraska to Dale and Genevieve (Shanley) Pollard.  She attended St. Pat’s Catholic Elementary in North Platte, NE until the family moved back to their ranch near Brownlee, NE.  She then attended Brownlee Elementary through the 8th grade.  She went to high school at St. Martin’s all girl’s academy in Rapid City, South Dakota and graduated in 1971.  She earned a BSN in Nursing from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1976.  She worked at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She then moved to Denver, Colorado where she worked as a RN in the Emergency Room at St. Anthony’s Central Hospital.  She then worked at St. Anthony’s North in Pediatrics.  In 2003, Ronda moved to McKinney, TX.
Ronda was preceded in death by her father, Dale and her mother, Genevieve.  She is survived by her three siblings, Greg (Julie) Pollard, Urbandale, Iowa; Jerry (Cathy) Pollard, Bradenton, Florida and Margaret (Jesse) Green, Frisco, Texas and by her ex-husband, who she was married to for 15 years Nick DiTirro (Heather), Arvada, Colorado.  And five nieces, Jill (Cody) Bright, Omaha, Nebraska; Jenna Pollard, Bradenton, Florida; Abby (Lucas) Hicks, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Molly Green, Frisco, Texas and Hannah (Giffin) Leiting, Indian Trail, North Carolina.
Services will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071.  The rosary will be at 10:30 AM and then the funeral Mass at 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church or the MS Society .
