Purpose: To provide the children at staff at Lawson Early Childhood center caring support.
GROW: Be Serving & Caring
The Lawson Early Childhood adopt-a-school ministry was originally established from a program through McKinney E3 United. We have maintained a supportive relationship with this school which serves families with low income. We've been given the opportunity to help the children attending this school in their early development by providing a presence of caring adults who will "just be there." We read to them, tell them life stories, encourage them, and congratulate them on their accomplishments. We also work with the teachers, the principal and our Communities in Schools representative to support their efforts in preparing these children for their future education in Kindergarten and beyond.
The parish community holds an annual back-to-school supply collection through this ministry. Contact us for more information or to get involved.
