Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
Adapted for Children
The RCIA Adapted for Children is a process designed for children and youth who have not been baptized and/or catechized, or who are baptized in another faith and wish to be initiated into the Catholic Church. Generally we work with children grades 6th-12th grade. The program is adapted from the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and is designed to lead children to know and love the living God more deeply.
Children's initiation meets Sunday 9:00am begining October 9th. We ask that the students particpate in our RCIA classes each Sunday also enroll in the Family Faith Formation Sharing Community (FFSC), Fusion or High School program. These programs are designed to form children and teens.
At the Easter Vigil children and teens (along with the RCIA adults) receive the sacraments of Baptism (if not previously baptized in a faith), Confirmation and Eucharist.
A family interview must be conducted prior to registering for the RCIA program Adapted for Children. Call our Office of Faith Formation 972-542-7170 ext 228 for more details or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
