Music is a beautiful part of our liturgical life, with a rich history and tradition. Most of all, music is sung prayer. The ministry of singing in the choir is a way to bring that prayer to each person in the congregation.
Children in grades 2-8 are invited to sing in the Children’s Choir. There are no try-outs. All are welcome!
Our Children’s Choir sings at the 9am mass on the 2nd Sunday of most months during the school year.
Rehearsals will be most Tuesdays, from 5-6pm in the St. Mary’s Room. Our music selection will reflect the rich history of our faith – from Latin chant to familiar hymns to modern praise and worship. Children interested in training for the cantor ministry (leading the psalm and other special music) may require extra rehearsal time.
In order to conform to Diocesan policy, there needs to be two CLEARED adults present every time we meet. If you would like to find out more about Safe Environment and how to become a cleared adult, please ask for more details.
